What can we do the change the disconnect between the youth, their local leaders and local mentors of good moral standing. I feel it's healthier when a child looks up to a person that they have an inter-personal connection with rather than a person in the media whom they've only come to know through an 'image', a 'facade'.
That's dangerous because we all know that more than 85% of the time, the most glorified people in the media aren't even a fifth of who they are cracked up to be.
By perpetuating this we are limiting who has major influence over them. That's wrong. We have to change this. A child is aspired by, for example, the wealth and success of a Sean Combs. But he doesn't realize that under neath that is a man with little moral standing. He may have good business ethics, but he's not a family man and has exploited women via is lifetime of work.
