THE QUESTION

Is Dr. Cosby "pissed off" at the African-American community?
Dear Dr. Cosby,

My name is Rick Hobbs and I am a "white" graduate student at California State University, Bakersfield in the Counseling Psychology program. For a class assignment I have choose to study African-American families. The question my professor, Dr. Martinez, has asked me to answer is " Why is Bill Cosby and his Psychiatrist friend so pissed off at the African-American community?

I thought there would be no better source for this information than from the man himself. However, if this is not possible, then from his website community:

Sir, are you "pissed off" at the African-American community, and if so, why?

Respectfully,

Rick Allen Hobbs

Enter your answer here.I am pissed off as well. I am a 40yr old Afrcian-American woman who sees her people killing themselves everyday over nothing. Our ancestors died to give us so many opportunities and what happended, the young people come along and think they do not have to do any work to maintaine what we have. So many people think they do not have to put forth any effort when it comes to school and a job. They see so many bad influences that have not "payed" anytype of sweat eqitiy to get what they want and they choose to emulate those people. With the exception of just a couple of people in the Hip Hop communitty is it being shown that you do not have to pay your dues to get what you want.....They don't want to pay their dues and I am pissed. I knew when I graduated from high school I needed to get a job I knew I needed to graduate from high school not cop out and just get a GED. I knew I needed to go to school at the same time to get the things I wanted in life. I knew hard work was the way to get that home and car. I watched my mom and dad work hard so my sisters and I could have the nice things we wanted. What you have now is that lot of the people don't work so this is passed down that you can still get something without putting forth a lot of effort. Also we see so many stars make without even graduating from high school and making millions, how is that for an example. Fantasia Barino is an example that should have been do not do what I did, but it is came to be seen you can still have a baby and drop out of school and make millions. Now who can compete with that....
