THE QUESTION

How can our country spend less money on war and more on education?
How can we get that 200 or 300 trillion dollars that they're spending on the war in Iraq for educational needs in our community?

Let's say that the majority of the lower economic people who have not yet responded to parenting and taking care of their children all of a sudden get it together and started to parent. And then began to make demands. Listen to the noise that would go on! Look at the marches that would start to happen! Seriously, let people know that you will be back! You will be back. You will be back.

You don't have to set anything on fire. All you have to do is keep on marching. Your politicians are going to follow you because, you know why? You're not going to vote for them because you know what they didn't do! When you put yourself in that position, you know what happened to you.

And so the response is, I'm telling you now, get up! Get responsible! The revolution is in your neighborhood. It's in your house. It's in your mind.

Money for education is not the answer in itself. The education is there but if your self-motivation and choices are lacking, no amount of money is going to educate. If you prefer to :hang: and use your most valuable asset, TIME, that way, no education is going to help. Just start doing something with your life (time). I have a child who just asked to help in an area that he was interested in persuing. He did grunt work, with no pay all summer. Now he has a paying job in something he likes, and hopefully the start of a career. It works and it happens, but you have to get involved. This kid has no cell phone, car or wealthy parents. But he made a choice.
