THE QUESTION

Re: Barack Obama's recent fathers' day speech on fatherhood.
What Barack Obama said referencing black man living up to their responsibilities as fathers has been said many times by various people. Why should black men listen now? What has changed that will compel them to conduct themselves as men? Barack Obama has a very good chance of being elected president. However, at the end of the day, non black America will only see the do-rag wearing, rampants criminals, pants hanging off their butts, foul-mouthed, baby making punks we all know so well. Non blacks will continuosly judge Black America by these fools. Not by the standards of Condelezza Rice, Clarence Thomas, Bill Cosby, or Barack Obama. No matter how much things change some things will always be the same.

It’s all about someone saying it is enough. It is all about one being true to himself. There are a lot of brothers besides the individuals that you named; that sacrifice blood and tears for their children and wife. They are just a whisper in the wind.

I really can’t call anyone a fool, if I can’t personally do anything for him or her (I do not know their story). I have to look within myself and "focus" to see what I can do for my Family or individual young people around me (positve energy).

I feel the situation is much more complex than being ashamed of certain individuals and point the finger.
If you want to see a change it starts with me as an individual (a fire start with a spark) which help breed positive result.
